PHOENIX, AZ (April 8, 2024) – TSMC announced that the U.S. Department of Commerce and TSMC Arizona have signed preliminary terms for up to $6.6 billion in direct funding under the CHIPS and Science Act. TSMC also announced plans to build a third fab at TSMC Arizona, leveraging the most advanced semiconductor process technology in the United States, bringing TSMC’s total investment to more than $65 billion and creating 6,000 new jobs.
LEARN MORE »QUEEN CREEK, AZ (April 3, 2024) – The construction of a major battery manufacturing complex in Queen Creek, Arizona, announced by LG Energy Solution last year, is on track to be completed in two years with the first round of hiring expected to begin at the end of this year. The company provided progress updates on its $5.5 billion stand-alone facility during a stakeholder meeting today at Combs High School in San Tan Valley near the complex location. With steel beams now being placed at the site, the complex is on track to be completed in 2026 and creating several thousand new jobs.
